The day of their wedding is one many brides dreamed of since their youngest years. For that day everything must be perfect, and it all begins with the perfect invitations.
This was the case, not only for the bride but also for the groom. They discussed the options, their preferences, their ancestors, and many other things in order to choose the design they wanted to use! The problem? Nobody had the tools to make this design. Their idea was so unique and specific that there was nothing available that came even close to it and it was terribly expensive to make the tools to make it.
My challenge was to draft their idea so that they were happy with the end result, but do it in such a way that I could also make tools to manufacture at a reasonable price.
Once the design was up to their expectations, It took many hours of research and prototyping to make the tool that would produce the correct embossing. Once that step was completed it was necessary to test different tools to achieve the perfect brightness for the silver framing of the Celt knot they had chosen.
This was with no doubt the most challenging design I ever faced, not because of its complexity but because of the challenges to move from the sketch table to the manufacturing process.
The reward was immense. They were so satisfied they nicknamed me "Magic Danay" from then on.
